Selected Press
“Together, they create spacious yet introspective songs that feel both intimate and aloof, with the soft-spoken mysticism of new age, the vaporous romance of what station programmers once called “beautiful music”
-Reed Jackson, Aquarium Drunkard
“Science fiction meets jazzy alternative country in the cosmic desert-infused instrumental rock of Colorado-based trio, Prairiewolf. The touchpoints span genres but this atmospheric music is entirely of a piece.”
-Ana Gavrilovska, Uncut Magazine
“From the lonesome lap steel of “Lunar Deluxe” to the celestial bossa nova of closing track “Technicolor Dream Hearse,” the self-titled LP is a vibe-forward feast of texture and rhythm taking listeners on a laid-back journey to the far reaches of the universe.”
-Jezy J Gray, Boulder Weekly
“The trio creates the musical equivalent of looking out onto the stars in the middle of the desert. Will it sound a little like elevator music to some? Sure. But this is an elevator you could live inside.”
-David Meir Grossman, Tablet Magazine
“Instead of face-melting solos or psychedelic blowouts, they deliver a collection of elegant, low-key cosmic grooves that might drift through the air in a luxury resort on Jupiter.”
-The Third Eye
